Using Sony’s iconic late-90s Handycam, Say Fromage developed a fully automated video booth that captures footage directly from the original camera.

Custom software enables authentic 90s-style recording, preserving the analogue look and feel while allowing instant digital processing. Videos are automatically edited on-site, with branded intros, outros, and bespoke cuts applied in real time.

Interaction is driven via a touchscreen interface. Guests trigger their recording, preview the final edit moments later, and receive a QR code to instantly download the video to their phone — blending true retro aesthetics with seamless modern delivery.

There is also the possibility of using multiple cameras for an even more dynamic edit!
